00 Initial Consultation – Perth Hills (1hr)

Perfect for individuals wanting more information on equipment, trails, activities and program options before diving straight into off-road cycling.

The thought of venturing out into the wilderness with (or without) a disability can be daunting for many of us. If you’re not too sure where to start, then come down to meet us at our Perth Hills Adaptive Trail Hub while checking out some of the world’s leading assistive technology.

During your initial consultation you will:

  • Meet one of our qualified volunteer coaches and physiotherapist to conduct a basic and general assessment (not a formal functional assessment – see NDIS Trial).
  • Learn about the variety of equipment available and the types of adaptions that can be made to suit your individual ability.
  • Watch our coach demonstrate gear around the facility.
  • Learn about the surrounding trail network and accessible events.
  • Work on hoisting, transferring in out of equipment and or finding a comfortable adaptive bike for your needs. Please read note below.
  • Take home some new ideas and think over until you’re ready to make a decision.
  • With experience since 2013 in adaptive MTB in Australia, we’d like to provide you with the best suitable option for your needs.

We’ll give you options for your next step forward.

We understand that mountain biking can be intimidating for some and that it can be difficult to determine if your ability is compatible with adaptive equipment. We believe that there is a solution for everyone, whether it’s available with us or not, but sometimes taking the first step forward is the hardest.

Note: The session does not include trialing of equipment on trails. You may be permitted to sit in different cycles to do light stationary pedaling to help determine suitability of equipment for your level of function.

NDIS Participants: we accept payment from self managed and plan managed participants who have a component of community participation, recreation or similar, in their plan. If you require an ‘invoice’, please select “Bank Transfer” during checkout for a receipt and submit to your coordinator or upload to the NDIS portal. Bookings will only be confirmed once payments are made prior to the session. Cash payment is not accepted on the day.
