For individuals & therapists with an NDIS/ICWA/other plan who specifically want to trial the equipment for their AT Assessment.

BTB is a one-stop-shop with the widest range of adaptive off-road handcycles (one legcycle) for trial in the country. As part of the session, you and an accompanying therapist will have access to the equipment to determine the most suitable option/s.

What’s involved:

  1. Qualified BTB coaches and physio available during session.
  2. Basic and general functional overview conducted.
  3. Information combined with therapist/companion knowledge.
  4. BTB make a recommendation to the participant and attending therapist.
  5. Equipment available for trial to demonstrate transferring, pedaling, steering and braking ability.
  6. Options for adaptions, modifications and other assistive technology discusses for inclusion in reports.

A letter of support can be supplied after the OT/Physio’s prescription has been made available to BTB (no additional charge).

BTB does not conduct the functional assessment nor provide Assistive Technology Assessment documentation. This is for the individual’s Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to produce at/after this clinic.

Note: Not all models and makes are available, but the main styles on the global market are available (excluding upright handycle).

Note: BTB is not a distributor or manufacturer of equipment and only provides advice and direction based on years of experience and the individual’s capacity and goals.

Caution: BTB will only provide manual handling with transfers if you have attended an initial consultation, otherwise you can bring your own carers, companions or staff to assist.

PLEASE NOTE: if you have not completed steps 1 and 2 of our program here, then this booking will not be processed.

NDIS Participants: we accept payment from self managed and plan managed participants who have a component of community participation, recreation or similar, in their plan.
