About Us

Andrew set out on a mission early 2011 to rediscover mountain biking on a handcycle after a bad MTB accident in 2008 which left him completely paralyzed from the waist down. After several events and many rides around Australia, Andrew gets a drive from introducing people with disabilities into areas most people consider inaccessible. Since being the first person with a disability to content a multi-day Cross Country Marathon race at the annual Cape to Cape MTB (WA) in 2013, Andrew continues to handcycle and help others with similar disabilities conquer new territory as a reminder that life isn't over after severe trauma. Anderew played an important part with a small group of enthusiastic individuals to formalise Break the Boundary into a volunteer-based committee-run NFP Association and Charity in 2018.
