Break the Boundary is very excited have an upcoming adaptive hiking induction day! If you or someone you know would be interested, secure your place by booking online below!
What is adaptive hiking?
This program is the first of it’s kind in Australia. We have 2 adaptive hiking chariots, and a team of adaptive hiking leaders that have completed extensive training, to be able to assist you on wonderful hikes in the stunning but challenging landscapes of the Perth Hills. We have the ability to take people to places they never thought would be accessible or possible!
We have audited 10 trails in the Perth Hills for you to come and explore. Once you have completed our Come and Try It Induction Day, you will be able to start enjoying these trails with us!
Who does it suit?
We’re looking for people that want to get off flat surfaces and out into the West Australian Bush!
This program is suited to anyone who through age (older or younger), injury, or their disability would not be able to access the bush through other means.
We have a hoist on site if you need assistance with transferring to the chariot, please note, the chariots are rated to accommodate 110kg.

Getting to know you- on the day we will ask some follow up questions and get a gauge on what you’d like to get out of the experience.
Trial the Chariots- a clinician onsite will help us select the best set up for you, including any extra adjustments or supports to ensure your comfort.
Do a loop- some of our friendly hiking leaders will join you on a little loop on parts of the Bibbulumun Track near the Break the Boundary Hub to make sure you’re comfortable and check If we need to make any adjustments.
