Break the Boundary Inc.
Founded in 2018 by Andrew Liddawi, Break the Boundary Inc. is a nonprofit charity born from Andrew’s journey of resilience after a 2008 mountain biking accident that left him paralysed from the waist down. Driven by passion, Andrew and a small committee created opportunities for people with disabilities to explore off-road adventures. Initially focused on adaptive mountain biking, Break the Boundary has recently expanded to include adaptive hiking.
Break the Boundary remains at the frontier of Adaptive Mountain Biking in Australia.
“Our mission is to enhance the lives of people with physical and neurological disabilities by offering nature-based cycling and hiking experiences, helping them venture beyond flat surfaces into the stunning West Australian bush.”
Break the Boundary is recruiting volunteers for our aMTB Program!
Given the nature of our work and the participants we serve, it's crucial that our volunteers are well-equipped with the knowledge and support needed to ensure safety, confidence, and sustainability in our program delivery. Following the success of our adaptive hiking leadership development program in 2022, we are adopting a similar approach to recruit and develop quality individuals who will continue to grow with Break the Boundary.
Combining our success with existing infrastructure, resources, and collaborations, Break the Boundary is setting the standard for world-class adaptive mountain biking programs, offering unparalleled opportunities for people with disabilities and mobility impairments.
