Engaging with Break the Boundary

Break the Boundary is dedicated to promoting and supporting adaptive mountain biking and adaptive hiking. Break the Boundary remains at the forefront of adaptive MTB and adaptive hiking in Australia. While we are passionate about making these activities accessible to all, our capacity is limited due to our volunteer-based operations. To help manage expectations and clarify what we can offer, please read the following overview.

How we can assist

At our current capacity, we are able to offer the following:

Advising on Adaptive Trails:

We offer consultancy services for local governments and organisations on building adaptive trails for mountain biking. This service is available for a fee and includes detailed guidance on trail design to ensure accessibility and safety.

Equipment Recommendations:

We provide expert advice on selecting adaptive mountain bikes. If you are a club looking to purchase equipment, we can help you choose the best options to meet the needs of your members.

Coming soon in 2025:

Trail Audits:

Our team of trained trail auditors can assess existing trails to determine their suitability for adaptive mountain biking. This auditing service is also provided for a fee, ensuring that trails meet the necessary standards for adaptive use.

Currently outside of our capacity:

Project Execution:

We are unable to assist with the execution of projects that fall under the responsibility of other organisations or individuals. This includes the actual building or implementation of adaptive trails and facilities.

Setting Up New Facilities:

We cannot help with the setup of new adaptive mountain biking or hiking facilities. Our focus is on providing advice and auditing existing trails rather than starting new projects from scratch.

Our Current Initiatives

Developing Trail Auditors:

We are in the process of expanding our team of trail auditors to better serve the community. This will enhance our ability to provide thorough and reliable trail assessments.

Training Volunteers:

We are training a new batch of volunteers to support both adaptive mountain biking and adaptive hiking. This training will increase our capacity to assist and advise more effectively.

Creating Regional Mini Hubs:

We are developing mini hubs for adaptive mountain biking in regional areas of Western Australia. Our goal is to create a replicable model that can be sold as intellectual property to other organizations, enabling the setup of additional hubs.

Thank you for your understanding and support. By clearly defining our services, we hope to better manage our resources and continue making a positive impact in the adaptive sports community. For more information or to request our services, please contact us through our website.
